Isotope JSC took part in the Brazilian Congress of Nuclear Medicine 2021

ROSATOM took part in the XXXV Brazilian Congress of Nuclear Medicine (CBMN) as a Gold Sponsor. The event took place in Brazil from 3 to 6 of September. Due to restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was held online.

CBMN is one of the key annual events for the Brazilian nuclear medicine sector, traditionally bringing together distinguished industry practitioners and scientists involved in the development of nuclear medicine technologies.

"The Brazilian Congress of Nuclear Medicine is a tremendous opportunity to foster mutual exchange of information between key representatives of the sector," said Dr Jorge Barberio Coura, President of the Brazilian Society of Nuclear Medicine. "We continue to face the challenges posed by the pandemic that make the nuclear medicine production chain difficult. Through this event, despite the fact that it is being held in an online format, we were able to share our experience with colleagues from other countries, as well as receive information on advanced achievements in this area," he said.

On behalf of the ROSATOM, Darya Donetskaya, Project Manager of Rusatom Healthcare JSC, made a presentation on the topic: "Rosatom Cyclotrons: Innovative Solutions for Nuclear Medicine", as well as Maxim Pozdyshev, Deputy Director of the Isotope Products Sales Department of Isotope JSC, made a presentation: "Availability of new radioisotopes in the world market."

"We annually participate in the Brazilian Congress of Nuclear Medicine and we are very grateful for the opportunity to present the products of ROSATOM to the national medical community and discuss advanced technologies and developments with reputable scientists and representatives of key local and international companies in the sector. Nuclear medicine is the main area of cooperation between ROSATOM and Brazil, and our partnership is not only related to the business interests of the State Corporation. ROSATOM is one of the largest suppliers of isotope products for the needs of nuclear medicine in Brazil, therefore, procedures for the treatment and diagnostics, including oncological diseases, largely depend on our supplies. This imposes a huge responsibility on us," said Ivan Dybov, President of the ROSATOM Latin America.
