JSC Isotope Successfully Passes Schlumberger Audit
JSC Isotope has successfully passed another audit for compliance with the safety requirements of the international oilfield services company Schlumberger.
The event was attended by supply and quality services, job safety, logistics and production units' specialists from both sides. The representatives of Schlumberger got acquainted with some aspects of JSC Isotope's work: organization of dangerous goods Class 7 transportation, isotope production storage, procedure of recharging sealed radioactive sources in the hot cell, educational techniques for drivers of specialized transport, methods of maintaining and expanding their knowledge in the field of road safety and radioactive materials transportation, radiation and physical protection programs.
The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects of organizing sealed radioactive sources supplies to the Customs Union countries as well as to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Romania. The issues of export and import licensing, regulation and customs clearance were also touched upon. Moreover, the participants discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation between the two companies.
JSC Isotope is one of Schlumberger strategic partners for two years. JSC Isotope managed to become a key supplier of Schlumberger in Russia due to its own fleet of 19 specialized cars equipped with satellite tracking and radiation monitoring systems, fire sensors and biological protection as well as due to experienced and qualified drivers and forwarding agents.
In future JSC Isotope and Schlumberger may develop cooperation in organizing temporary storage of sealed radioactive sources and recharging units that contain them. Cooperation might expand with the involvement of partner network that embrace licensed regional storages of sealed radioactive sources in Ekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara and other cities.
